Tuesday Tips & Tricks (the Wednesday edition):spring now
Okay, so it's not Tuesday. What can I say? Tuesday got away from me. But last week I promised to show work-appropriate trends for spring that you can wear now.
So here's my recommendation for what to buy now, to incorporate into your work wardrobe. It's not so much a specific garment as it is a color: coral. Coral is sort of a cross between orange and pink. It's full of life and the punch of color, hailing spring, can be just the thing to shu away the winter gray. Couple the color with a delicate fabric, like a silk or satin weave, and "ta-dah!" (as my son would say), you're one step closer to spring. Added bonus - the color next to your face will bring out the pink and peach tones in your skin, making you look healthier and more youthful.
For him: pair your grey or navy suit with a coral colored tie.
For her: wear now under a cardigan or jacket. Try mixing with a textured fabric, like a tweed, for added depth.
As for me, I'm running away to Texas for a couple of weeks, so you probably won't be hearing from me again until the end of February. But don't let that stop you from commenting on the blog, or asking me questions. I LOVE solving style conundrums, so send in your queries!
